Addiction Treatment: Beyond the 12 Steps

Adult Clients who have substance use disorders (SUD) and other addictive disorders are some of the most challenging cases to successfully treat. Part of this difficulty is that therapists often lack the knowledge to work with clients with addictive disorders. Therapists also may fear that they have deficient skills in this area.

This class will provide participants with specific clinical knowledge as well as the opportunity to expand their therapeutic options when working with addictive clients. Numerous case examples will be presented as illustrations of innovative and creative therapeutic strategies for working with this population.

This class will also include the required opiate training.
